Because of the problem of unlicensed motor-taxis & street vendors, the government set some blocks around the Metro Exits to prevent them from getting too close to the Exits.

This indeed makes the exits cleaner, but with cost – it causes inconveniences to the passengers, especially for those who carry large luggages or baby-cars.
